Last week, to achieve my target, I found myself making a conscious effort to move more. Some people are naturally active and as a result, have a fast metabolism. I on the other hand, naturally love to sleep, rest and lounge around which is why I workout. I have to fight my natural disposition and make conscious efforts to move which helps my body’s metabolic processes and keeps unwanted weight off. Yep, that’s right. I’m not one of those who can’t keep still. I looooove keeping still!! 😂
Sadly, not everything we love is good for us, a sedentary lifestyle has a negative impact on health so move I must which is why I love fitness challenges. Fitness challenges get me to go the extra mile. Doing them with others brings in the fun element. Everything worthwhile takes effort, our health is very much worth the effort.
What usually happens to participants during a challenge like the Step Count Challenge is, they try out new activities and discover new ways to keep fit which can then become part of their lifestyle.
My mission is to help as many people as I possibly can, (most especially my age group) eat healthier, move more, be more vibrant and energetic. The older we get the more our body starts to decline if we allow it to happen. Your efforts don’t have to be extreme, little adjustments to your diet and 20 mins of structured physical activity daily will have a huge impact on your health.
